Introduction


BITS BIRAC BioNEST incubator, an initiative of CIIE of Birla Institute of Technology and Science, Pilani K K Birla Goa Campus promotes innovation and entrepreneurship in Health & Environment. BioNEST Goa is supported by BIRAC (Biotechnology Industry Research Assistance Council), a Non-profit organization under Department of Biotechnology (DBT), Government of India.
BioNEST aims to help entrepreneurs to ideate, incubate and accelerate their innovative early stage start ups into successful ventures through infrastructural support, mentoring, networking and business advisory. The incubator brings entrepreneurs, mentors, researchers and academicians together to create a vibrant startup ecosystem.

About the Institute

The Birla Institute of Technology & Science (BITS), Pilani is an all-India Institute for higher education with campuses in Pilani, Goa , Hyderabad and Dubai.​
BITS, Pilani has been continuously making efforts in building an environment of promoting creativity, inventiveness and innovation among the students through various initiatives that link students to industry, R&D labs and students from other academic institutes. BITS symbolizes the maturing of Indian technical ability and "can-do" entrepreneurial spirit, especially as derived from the private sector.

Equipment Facilities 

The Bio-Incubator has a dedicated space of 3500 sq. feet for start-ups including office space, Audio and Video conferencing facility and Labs & equipment in the area of  Molecular Biology , Microbiology & Environmental Engineering. The  specialized and hi-tech equipment will be available to Incubatees. It will also be available to Research scholars, Faculty & Startups within and outside BITS. ​
